(Junior) Laravel Developer

Job Description

As a junior developer at 3rdRisk, you play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our platform. You will work alongside our experienced development team within a well-structured development process.

Responsibilities

- Developing new features and functionalities for our platform.
- Maintaining and optimizing our platform.
- Working with and developing APIs and integrations with other systems.
- Collaborating with the (development) team to design and implement the best solutions.
- Actively contributing to the development and improvement of our internal systems and tools.
- Staying updated on new technologies and best practices to continuously improve the quality of our work.

Requirements

- Programming is your passion.
- You have a good knowledge of PHP and Laravel.
- Experience in the TALL stack (TailwindCSS, AlpineJS, Laravel, and Livewire) is a plus.
- You have a basic knowledge of MySQL and relational databases.
- You have problem-solving skills.
- You can work independently on clearly defined tasks received from the lead developer. Working independently does not mean there is no contact with your colleagues or that you have to solve everything yourself. We work remotely a lot and help each other when needed.
- You have an eye for UX and can empathize with how an end-user will use the platform.
- You are strong in communication, with a proactive attitude, and enjoy working in a team.
- This role requires you to work effectively remotely, which means that working from home is currently our standard practice. Keep in mind that there may be situations where working on-site or attending meetings is required.
- You have experience writing tests (PHPUnit and/or PEST).
